Las Calderas Shipyard is strategically located in the Bay of Las Calderas, latitude 18º - 13º N, longitude 70º - 31º W. (See chart No.25845) approximately 80 km. Southwest of Santo Domingo, and driving time of one hour and 15 minutes.

The Shipyard is in the center of the Caribbean where most vessels coming from Europe and United States pass by the island.

Las Calderas has an average temperature of 77ºF (25ºC) all year around and only about 15 days of rain during the year, which is perfect for ship's repairs and new construction.
